Yuji Iwase

  Hello. My name is Yuji Iwase. I'm a social studies teacher of Fukuoka Senior High School. I helped 21H students make this website.

  This project is one part of General Studies Class. One of our purposes is to communicate with people around the world. Actually making a website in English must be a good activity. However it's only the start of the process. I want our students to read your E-mail and to write responses. You don't need to be a native English speaker. Our students can realize many non-English native speakers use English. You can give us your response in Japanese if you can use Japanese.

  I guess many foreign people still have a stereotyped image to Japan. For example I'm disappointed at many books written about Japanese schools in English. In many cases the authors over-generalize it. I recommend you to visit Japanese schools' websites and compare it if you have interest in Japanese schools.

  I have a reflection. Many students choose special places and events for their topic. Many of them were not able to find interesting topic from their daily life. Only a few students had visited a foreign country. Many of them can't compare their daily life with other countries' daily life. If our students look back their daily life through communication with you I can say our students achieve their studying aim.
